The Leader in You
Date of Next Seminar: Jan 24 - 27, 2012
Phoenix, AZ
Our 2012 Pro Service conference is designed to reach two objectives: To help you focus on the internals of your business, and to help improve your internal leadership skills as a business owner. This information-rich conference will be held in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona, and only those enrolled in Elite Pro Service are eligible to attend. If you haven’t already done so, mark your calendar for January 24-27, 2012 and enroll today.
Tuesday, January 24, 2012 5:00pm – 9:00pm
Reception – No-host bar at the Hotel Valley Ho. Join us and our other Pro Service colleagues as we get together for a casual evening. This is a great opportunity to connect with your fellow business owners, and to make many new friends as well.
Day 1 - Wednesday, January 25, 2012 8:30am - 5:00pm
Industry Trends Update - On the first day of our conference we have a number of objectives, one of which is to bring you up to date on the latest trends in the industry. As you know, we have merged our Dealer Research committee and Industry Trends committee into one; The Dealer & Industry Trends committee. This committee is chaired by James Garnand of APCO Hi-Tech Car Care in Phoenix, Arizona. At our 2012 conference the committee members, along with James, will take the stage and serve as a panel.
There are a number of reasons we are taking this approach this year. First of all, rather than holding the committee chairperson responsible for delivering the entire update in a relatively short period of time, we are allowing more time, and will have other committee members participate on the panel. This will allow you to hear what each has discovered in their research, it will provide you with a far greater understanding of the trends, and it will provide you with the opportunity to ask questions, as well as contribute to the conversation.
We also realize that one of the many benefits of the conference is that it provides you with the opportunity to engage in conversations with your Pro Service Colleagues, so we are confident the dialogue that takes place between you and the committee members will be priceless.
Marketing – Our new Marketing committee is chaired by Bill Garcia of Bill’s Quality Auto Care in Simi Valley, California, and each committee member is hard at work researching every aspect of marketing auto repair and service. As with the Dealer & Industry Trends committee, Bill and his committee members will also serve as a panel. Their objective will be to share their discoveries regarding print media, electronic media, community-based grass-root programs, and how to bring in more of the right kinds of customers in the most affordable and effective way.
The Marketing committee will also have each member bring specific content to the conference. In today’s competitive market, having the right marketing plan in place will be key to your success, and that’s why we’re certain that what you learn from this panel will help you keep your service bays full for years to come.
Compensation & Incentive Programs - In addition to having a good understanding of the future of our industry, and knowing how to keep your service bays full, you will need to have a team of superstars in your shop. In order to reach that goal, one of the things you’ll need is a well-designed compensation and incentive program. At our conference, that’s exactly what we’re going to help you create.
You’ll hear presentations from some of our Pro Service Colleagues who have extremely effective, motivating pay programs in place. You’ll learn how they pay their techs and advisors, how they manage their programs, and how they keep their stars operating at peak performance. We’ll also provide each of you with a comprehensive pay program report that contains all the information gathered from the colleagues who responded to our recent request for information.
By the end of this session you will have all the information you need to improve your compensation and incentive programs in a way that will help you attract the superstars, and keep your employees focused on the areas that are most important to your business.
Maximizing Sales Opportunities - Day one will close out with Bob Cooper sharing his insights on what you can do as an owner to keep your service advisors at the top of their game. You’ll learn what you need to do with your facility, your inspection processes, how your advisors need to prepare for and present their sales, and what you, the owner, can do to be a better coach to them.
By the end of day one you’ll be saturated with useful information that will help you adjust the internals of your business. You’ll be at the leading edge of the industry trends, you’ll know the best practices when it comes to bringing in more of the right kinds of customers, you’ll know how to put together the perfect pay program, and you’ll know how to keep your advisors at the top of their game.
Pro Service Dinner – Many of you have suggested that it would be great if we could all get together for dinner while at the conference, so here’s your chance! On Wednesday night you can join us for dinner at Rustler's Rooste restaurant. We’ll have a private room, a selection of entrees, and most importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to build life-long friendships with other industry leaders. To learn more, visit our Pro Service Dinner page.
Day 2 - Thursday, January 26, 2011 8:30am - 5:00pm
On Thursday we are going to roll up our sleeves, and help you take your leadership skills to the next level by investing the entire day in Q2 (The action items that are important, but not urgent). What we are going to be working on, is you. As we all know, the skill set of a leader includes the ability to set clearly defined goals, to create the plan, and to inspire the people who you are leading.
We also realize that your ability to share your vision with your team will be predicated on a number of skill sets, yet none is more important than your communication skills. Simply put, the goal of day two is to help you hone your leadership skills by developing your communication skills. There is no question: By the end of the day you will be enlightened with what you discover about the leader in you.
Communication Skills Workshop - This will be an interactive workshop where you’ll learn how to assess your own communication skills, you’ll learn the barriers to communication and how to overcome them, the types of listening skills that we have, behavioral styles in communication, how to ask questions and empower people, and how to deal with difficult people. The workshop will have leader-led components, as well as interactive sessions where you’ll be able to learn more about yourself, and practice your newly developed skills.
At the conclusion of the day, you’ll be given a post-course action plan that will ensure your success. This powerful all-day workshop will be led by Patrick Donadio, a member of the prestigious National Speakers Association, who is also considered to be one of America’s leading experts in communication. Patrick has presented communication courses to many Fortune 100 companies, and he comes very highly recommended to us, so we are confident that he will do an outstanding job.
Our objective at Elite is to help you build a more profitable, successful business, and one way of ensuring we reach that goal is by helping you constantly hone your leadership skills. By attending this conference, and participating in this powerful workshop, your communication skills, and your leadership skills will be permanently changed in the most positive way.
Day 3 - Friday, January 27, 2011 8:00am - 11:30am
Day three will be rich with information as well. We'll start off with a recap of the conference, and then Jim Murphy will present his dynamic annual State of the Industry Report. Jim will provide you with insights and direction to ensure that 2012 is the best year ever for you, and for your business.
Bob and Jim will then team up and take a few minutes to discuss the improvements that have been made to Pro Service, and to answer any questions that you may have about the service. We'll close out our conference with Bob sharing some new recruiting tips. Bob will also provide you with an action plan that you can use to take all of the information you’ve obtained during the conference, apply it to your business, and create a prosperous future for you, your company, and your employees.
